Small sensors suck and full frame is king, right? Well, no, not really. I mean, sure, they have their pros and cons, but so do all sensor sizes! In this video, I’ll be covering some of the practical implications of using big and small sensors and how they affect your photography!

  1. I have a Nikon Z5II, and iPhone 13 Pro Max from 2021, and a Pentax Q from 2012 (I think). Each one takes pretty good photos, and I enjoy the advantages that each one has. Just shoot whatever you have! I know that I always regret not taking photos over what camera I have on me.

  2. I find the easiest way to explain the reason behind the lesser background blurr is to imagine you have an image taken at f1.4 on a full frame camera for instance, and zooming in to have the image be twice as big, the depth of field still the same as before but the apparent slice of sharpness you’re viewing is now proportionally twice as large.

  3. In most camera comparison videos – all other types are compared to the Full Frame. I see a pattern here. The winner is clear.
    – Although I do use my APS-C camera to capture specific subjects… such as the moon…. or items that I want to sell.

  4. rx100 has 1inch and takes great travel or street photos. that’s my daily driver for those situations. otherwise i use aps-c.

i have yet to try m43 and full frame.
