  1. Ive been considering Vivent and ADT. However, I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews on Vivent re equipment failures, operation, and repair replacement time if necessary. Also customer service. Have you had any bad experiences with your Vivent system? If so, could you describe the issues you ran into? Thx

  2. I have been with ADT (pro) for 6 years no cameras just sensors(door window and fire co2). Well just had my panel die on me and contacted ADT support. Did the trouble shooting and no luck. Tech came out and could not fix it. It gets better, the keypad I have I guess was installed by a 3rd party. News to me because anyone that came in my home claimed to be with ADT had cards and uniforms. Well I call customer service they claim my key pad should be covered but there was a huge language barrier and I got no where trying to explain the 3rd party install. So I escalated it and got a lady in billing who did verify it being a 3rd party not being covered then proceeded to up sale me on a new control panel. Was quoted $300 for a new panel from tech and lady in the phone say $700 for that panel. Hell no! We talk get her to put 25% off and discount 3 months of my service ($60) down to $30. Still not sold on this now looking for a new system.

What would u recommend? I’m a 1st responder and do not need cameras just the essential fire/ems/pd.

Oh also to add to ADT I had 2 window sensor batteries die, I didn’t know at the time u can open them up and replace the small 2032 battery. When a tech came out he said each battery was $160/ea 😂. Needless to say after I got that news I footed the $60 tech visit and just got batteries on Amazon. (Yes every visit cost $60+)

also had my motion sensor take a sh** and came out of pocket for that.

  3. Great, a good security system is about more than having great cameras, one more thing you need is reliable intrusion detection, monitoring options and an app that makes everything easy to manage. My agency works with @AlarmDotCom which can even bring compatible alarms cameras and smart home devices together in one place.
