I think that sel1670z is best sony e crop lens for travel if you look into light weight and universality. Basically everything else will weight much more or have wider range but worse picture quality.
Just for shiz and giggles I made image insight, an exif analyzer tool to help me understand what gear I use and photos I take. 47% of my keeper images were taken with my 24 105. Guess that’s why it’s called a standard range. Runner up: 50 f1.4 at 13%. Third place… 50-500 at 11%.
Interpretation: first ones the one I take by default. Second is the one when I want something light and bright. Thirds the one when I don’t want to bother switching and can also take a tripod (non stabilized, low light heavy ass monster). The rest are 70 200, 35, 16-35, drone, and everything else is below 2 % in share.
most ppl buy more gear as they think it will make them better, it wont. i never put my camera in a bag, it stays on me all the time when im out. if its in the bag how can you take a pic ?
