Thank you for making these very helpful videos <3 Im mostly into analog photography but struggling to get good night time and concert photos, so i am considering buying a digital pocketable for that; with a good aperture and a good zoom. Can I ask which of your thousand cameras you would chose for a setting like that?
I like zoning out during your videos, so i rewind and look at the nice pics over and over again. ADHD wins.
The conflict between pocketable and big chunky, highly-credentialed cameras, gets us quickly to more conveniently-sized cameras you can hang on a shoulder strap, often of sufficient power to nail a good many photographic situations. I live in sunny climes where I shoot an E-M5.MkIII, or an E-PL6 for much of the informal stuff. I had an XZ-1, but it died, and left me forlorn. As the “C” camera with the oh-so-convenient ring at the back of the lens to control aperture or shutter, I felt knobs, rings. and dials are to love. Clicky things irritate. I would agree on another opinion you slipped in this video, less explicitly. The one-inch cameras are only one-ISO-stop deeper than the 1:1.6 or 1:1.7, so I consider them toys not worth double the money and I feel that the sorts who love them and who also shoot APS-C or Full Frame and eschew Four Thirds are not the most astute lot. 17mm f1.8 and 14mm f2.5 tend to hang out on the E-PL6. Should I be tempted to add the 20mm f1.7?
